Windows Live Messenger "What I'm Listening To"

I have the latest Windows Live Messenger and WMP 11 running on XP SP2. I can't get the "What I'm Listening To" feature to work. I can type in standard personal messages, but when I fire up WMP 11, it doesn't show my contacts my musical tastes.

Can anyone help me out?
