Apparently they were popular enough that people actually wanted to keep them and re-use them, so Pure Digital created a cheap digital camcorder called the Pure Digital Point and Shoot Camcorder. Selling for $129, the Pure Digital Point and Shoot Camcorder can hold up to 30 minutes of video at a time. The Pure Digital Camcorder has a pop out USB connector to connect to your PC along with TV cables. You can also play back and delete videos instantly from the tiny device."</i><br /><br /> <img src="http://www.digitalmediathoughts.com/images/114655112645_tn.jpg" /> <br /><br />I'm gonna go out on a limb here and venture that if we were grading video cameras on a scale of 1 to 10, this might be the zero upon which the scale was based. Seriously though, I applaud the fact that consumers were turned off by a disposable video camera, but I think this is worse. Those disposable video cameras were actually recycled into fresh ones to sell. This one will end up in the trash after its life cycle is over. And with a <a href="http://www.puredigitalinc.com/products/pandsvideo/support/warranty.html">90-day warranty</a>, how long could that possibly be? I'll be staying well away from this one.

It's certainly not a zero. It's a nifty well put together device that does one thing really well: It quickly takes video clips that quickly can be transfered to your computer.

No software installation. No complicated controls. No buggy card doors or such.

It works very well for what they are advertising it as: An everyday camcorder.

So far, no complaints.

Point, Click, Shoot, Edit in Windows Movie Maker, Upload to YouTube (which unfortunately downgrades your video anyway). Takes about 15 minutes and you are sharing video with anyone you want.

No you aren't going to make an award winning documentary with it. But it's a neat device. I like how simple it looks too. It looks more like a camera and isn't as intimidating looking as a more traditionallly styled camcorder.

Your milage may vary but the device is as advertised. Which I found refreshing.

(And I don't work for them or anything, I just have had a very good out-of-the-box experience with this one and thought I'd share a counter view.)

Anyone know of any links to sample videos taken from this device?
