<div class='os_post_top_link'><a href='http://www.soaphoto.com/' target='_blank'>http://www.soaphoto.com/</a><br /><br /></div><i>"Welcome to Soaphoto, a place to share your cool pictures! We're here to give professional and amateur photographers a chance to share pictures, camera tips, and win prizes. We can offer you your own digital photo album. You can also take part in an amateur photo contest that will allow you to win prizes. As an amateur photographer, our amateur photo gallery lets you share your photographs, while our forums let you discuss your photos and share digital photo tips. For the professional photographer, we have a professional photo gallery for those who want to show their photographs to prospective clients. Professionals can exhibit their work as well as share tips on photography. Whether you want to take part in our free photo contest, use our online photo sharing features, or create your own online photo album, we're sure you'll come back for cool pictures or the free photo contest."</i><br /><br /><img src="http://www.digitalmediathoughts.com/images/visual_main_hong.jpg" /><br /><br />Unlike some of the cheesy photo contests I've seen around the Web (some are downright scams), this one looks legitimate, and has some very impressive photos being submitted. Worth checking out - and let us know if you submit any of your photos, we'll come vote for you. :-)

For anyone thinking of entering this, I would suggest you hold off a couple more days. There's a winner selected each month, and if you enter now, I don't think you could gather enough votes in time. ;)

I think I might enter a picture or two. Anyone else considering it?

Good call on waiting until May Mike - I didn't look into it that much. A lot of the photos are so good it's hard to call them "amateur", but I may have a couple that kind of measure up... ;-)

My concern with something like this is if they own the rights to the picture you submit, etc. Anyone know what their policy is on this?

Here's a Photo Contest for Canadian's by Carlson Wagonlit Travel. Winning Prize is a $250 git certificate.

And here's another one for Canadian's by HP. I wonder what they would think if the picture was taken with a non-HP camera?
