Its automatic loop time-stretching and tempo-matching technology is second-to-none, and its straightforward pick, paint, and play functionality has helped make ACID Pro software the favorite loop-based music creation tool for millions of users worldwide. Now reformulated to add multitrack recording and full MIDI sequencing to its superior looping functionality, ACID Pro 6 software delivers a new formula for ground-breaking music creation: loops + multitrack + MIDI. Together, these key components add up to a full-featured professional music workstation unlike any other."

We reviewed Acid 5 Pro late last year, and the biggest update in this new version seems to be the multitrack recording and MIDI sequencing. Being able to record directly into your loop sequence is a neat feature for overlaying vocal or instrumental tracks. Any ACID users out there? I used to fiddle with ACID, but never got very serious about it. Hey, I'm a bass player, we tend not to write songs.

Fantastic product, but that name really has to go. There is something so very wrong in telling people I use Acid.
