http://www.everythingusb.com/samsung_yp-z5_4gb.html

"Samsung definitely has the brains to pull off an iPod killer, and they were so close to actually succeeding that it makes me cringe to see what amounts to a bare-bones digital audio player. While the YP-Z5 has the right dimensions, look, storage capacity and price, the sheer number of missing features gives a strong sense of buyer's remorse. No data storage, no games, no contact/calendar synchronization, no FM or microphone recording, and no custom EQs set the YP-Z5 way behind other MP3 players in its class. Add in one of the worst control systems I've ever dealt with and I'd advise you to stay far away from this one."

So let’s see, this iPod Nano killer is twice as thick, has a bigger but lower resolution screen, a poorly functioning interface, and it skimps on the features. [pauses and chucks iPod Nano out the window] Ok, now that that pesky Nano is out of the way, I want one! Seriously, if they want to kill the Nano they are going to have to hire a hitman. I hear Agent 47 is not too expensive.

Pretty damning review.

The term "iPod killer" should only be used * after * any said DAP has actually made a dent in iPod's sales!

Seriously. Like, maybe design a player that is BETTER than the iPod, THEN call it the iPod killer. I don't know, just an idea....
