When tech companies are touting a 2K-pixel digital projector, and Sony goes ahead and releases a 4K projector, of course no one's going to invest in 2K technology. At least we now have a technical standard for digital cinema, which, hopefully, will get the ball rolling a little faster. On a side note: Digital cinema is really only 2000 pixels wide? Are their pixels different than the pixels I use? Sure that's huge compared to DVD or even HDTV, but I guess I expected it to be higher considering the size of the screen...
