Enter Send to SmugMug. This application will install a little entry in your contextual menu for folder that says... "Send to SmugMug". When you select this, the contents of the folder (.jpg only) are displayed in a window that allows you to add them to an existing album, or to create a new album setting all the available options."</i><br /><br /><img src="http://www.digitalmediathoughts.com/images/sendtosmugmug.jpg" /><br /><br />I've been uploading my photos to Smugmug lately, but the Web-based tools are a bit lacking when you have a lot to upload. I tried doing multiple uploads with their Java-based "universal uploader" and I ended up getting corrupted images on the site. The always-quick, and very helpful staff at Smugmug pointed me towards Send to Smugmug, which works really well. It's donationware, so if you use it toss the developer a few bucks. Apparently there's a iPhoto tool for Smugmug, which makes me wonder if anyone is working on one for Picasa?

Jason, does this tool let you get around the 100 MB limitation that the web based tool has? I love Smugmug, but the upload process is the only thing I really don't like.

Oh yeah, absolutely, no 100 MB limit. I didn't even know the Web-based tool had that limit actually...

Using it right now, very cool! It does seem a bit slower than the Smugmug tools, but this is probably peak upload time anyway. Smugmug should really give this guy some cash and officially add it as a tool because it is better than anything they've got. Off to send this guy some money for his work.

I use this too, great app, have used it since day one. I really should donate.

For some reason the people at Smugmug seem reluctant to the idea of releasing a desktop app. Maybe they feel it would lock them down somehow, but I for one would love to see one.
