To this end, the official LightScribe Web site has a gallery of a few dozen backgrounds. Some, such as the ones pictured above, are very impressive and clearly tweaked to make the best of what LightScribe has to offer. Worth a download if you see something you like!

I still have 10 LightScribe CD-Rs, and no LightScribe burner. I bought them last spring when I saw the laptop I planned on ordering (HP Pavilion zd8000) could have a LightScribe drive. But of course, a week after I bought the discounted CD-Rs, HP changed their site and no longer sold a LightScribe burner for that laptop. Maybe I'll get a LightScribe drive when I build a Media Center PC next winter. Although 99% of the time I burn a CD, I use jeffd's disc labler of choice ;), the LightScribe sure looks like a fast and professional labeling system.

I know you've moved on, but I love the Lightscribe look. They create a great artistic quality to the CD or DVD 8) and I've gotten great responses from people to the ones I've distributed. Thanks for posting this link. Some of these are excellent and I'll definitely make great use of them.

Yeah, I still love the "etched" look of Lightscribe. I'm likely to still use it someday for certain projects, but only CD-Rs - I really didn't like the way my Lightscribe DVDs turned out.
