What Version of Photoshop Elements to use?

4.0 is the newest version and I was going to order it, but after reading the reviews on Amazon, it seems that version 4.0 might have been a step backwards and I might be better off picking up an older version. Any thoughts?

I had 3.0 and am using 4.0 now, and I honestly don't notice that much of a difference, but I haven't used 4.0 much. So I guess I'm saying that I can't really say one way or another. I think Photoshop Elements is a slow pig of a program no matter how you slice it...
