Shutterbook is a great Photo Sharing service currently providing a mammoth 20 GB of storage space, unlimited bandwidth, and the slickest interface of all photo sharing websites. First and foremost, Shutterbook is a photo sharing service, not an image host, so there are no features like thumbnail code generating, anonymous uploading, etc. You must sign up for an account to avail their features. Now, the great part is that if you sign up while they are still in BETA testing phase, you get [a lot]."</i><br /><br />I typically hate referring to things as &lt;Insert_favorite_product_here> Killer, but ShutterBook really is quite nice. I feel that the main downside is that $49/year subscription fee which is a fairly small price to pay if you calculate the monthly cost, but I feel that a number of people will think twice before investing that kind of money. Have any of you used this software?

There doesn't seem to be a way to test the pro version of the service, you can either get a free basic account or sign up for the $49 account immediately. Might be that the information on a trialperiod comes on the screen after choosing to sign up, but that would just be awful usability, no?

Trying the free version.

Uploaded an image, was automatically resized to 360 x 480 pixels, guess that's a limitation of the free account.

Can't find myself in the community by searching, egg-timer on user searchbox goes on in infinity. Found myself by browsing though.

Nag-screen everytime I go to admin in UI.

Deleted my first upload and uploaded another. This has been "rendering" now for ten minutes. Black screen with egg-timer.

I'm guessing this is my "homepage":

The only thing even slightly impressive is the pretty flash UI.

For my needs I would much rather have limited bandwidth and unlimited storage than the other way around. I have about 3 GB on flickr at this point, but after my initial upload of my archives I have never come close to my monthly upload allowance.
