Motorola, the world's second-biggest mobile-phone maker behind Nokia, will launch between one and three Windows Media phones in the second half of 2006, said Chris White, the company's senior director of global product marketing for music handsets. Motorola, which launched its first iTunes phones last year, will keep Windows Media phones as separate products, he said."</i><br /><br />While the hard-drive based digital audio market is largely sewn up (for now) by Apple, the brass ring is still available for a phone maker to make a killer combination of phone and audio player. We've seen some laudable attempts - the Samsung i300 with a 4gb hard drive was a decent first effort - but they need to get much better in order to replace dedicated players.
