Well, yes and no. The total capacity of the OneTouch III is indeed 1 TB, but it is achieved by assembling two 500 GB hard drives into one enclosure that is double the size of conventional external hard drive products. Maxtor isn't the first company to offer a product that consists of multiple hard drives. In fact, third party vendor LaCie stands out with its large portfolio of dual and quad drive external storage products: Big Disk, Bigger Disk, Biggest Disk. Still, Maxtor is the first hard drive maker to offer a multi-drive product by itself now."</i><br /><br /><img src="http://www.digitalmediathoughts.com/images/toms-hardware-terabyte.jpg" /><br /><br />Tom's Hardware has a massive 16-page review of two terrabyte drives that I'd love to own. :D Check it out.

I just purchased a MSS (Maxtor Shared Storage) (500 GB!) 8O .

I am absolutely in love with the device. The setup took less than 3 minutes and I can stream shared videos, music, and photos.

I can connect additional USB devices to the back of the MSS to expand the available capabilities.

Now, I have to think about backing up this drive!
Maybe with the 1 TB Buffalo TeraStation?

I have two 300 GB maxtor external drives (F/W + USB2)

Is there any way to combine these two (or find an enclosure that can accept two drives) anyway ??

Thank You
