It boasts write speeds that humble the competition, the ability to burn every type of media available and “in drive” label burning. Considering the incredibly low price, I have no hesitation in labelling the ND-4551A as the best DVD writer currently available... Despite the amazing versatility of the ND-4551A the price is still unbelievably low. A quick look around the web showed that you can pick up this drive for as little as £32.94 including VAT, making it a complete bargain."

I didn't know this but LabelFlash was developed by FujiFilm and Yamaha as a competitor to HP’s LightScribe. The concept is similar, once you are done burning the data onto your CD, just flip it over and the laser will burn text or graphics to the disc surface. One difference to keep in mind is that LightScribe discs are a matt gold colour, while LabelFlash are glossy blue. I haven't invested in a DVD burner for some time now but for just around $50, I don't think one can go wrong.

I'm interested in getting a Lightscribe or similar DVD for work - too many crudely labelled discs on my desk...

The price is interesting, it's almost the same as buying a razor (Gilette not razr  ) you don't pay much up front but you pay in the end with the media.
