This week, we've been fortunate enough to have two: the Alienware Aurora 7500 we reviewed on Wednesday, and this, possibly the best-looking LCD monitor on the face of the planet. Acer has built a reputation for drool-worthy products recently through their collaboration with Italian motor giant, Ferrari. First out of the gate was the Ferrari laptop, which was a Centrino machine with more than a little class. Now the pair have created a range of LCD monitors, of which we are exclusively looking at the high-end model - the Acer Ferrari F20."</i><br /><br /><img src="http://www.digitalmediathoughts.com/images/fp_img.jpg" /><br /><br />The Acer Ferrari F20 is an incredibly beautiful monitor. It performs well, and the addition of a TV tuner makes it more flexible than your average LCD monitor. It will set you back a cool $800 so it may not be in everyone's price range. But I <i>so</i> totally recommend that everyone click on the link because the pics of this monitor are totally droolworthy.

Acer Ferrari range seem to divide opinions about their appearance. I'm in the camp who would never purchase these devices.

I'm more of a Powerbook / aluminium / brushed steel kind of guy and I don't like painted case mods either, so it might explain why I'm not too much into these thigns. The way I see it, the Ferrari red and Ferrari logo are one the coolest combinations in the world - on the cars. On everything else .. they just look pretty cheesy.

I'm not flaming here, but I'm a graphics designer for eight years now and this Acer/Ferrari admiration is just something I cannot fully understand, soI have to ask from those who like these devices. Is this the kind of aesthics you'd love to see more in your houses? Would a bigger version get a place in your living room as a TV?

All in all this design seems to raise some feelings for and against, which is some kind of acknowledgement for a good design.

Same here. I really dislike the carbon fibre and garish red look. They're the domain of the ricers, and something I really don't fancy!
