With a brighter screen, better battery life, and more features, the Creative Zen Vision:M certainly has the goods to give the iPod a run for its money. In addition to a voice recorder and an FM tuner, the $330, 30GB Zen Vision:M supports a wide range of video formats, works with a growing number of online stores, and is compatible with subscription services. Cementing it as our Best in Show pick is its winning design; any product that cares to take on the stylish iPod must be able to turn heads. Though it's thicker than the iPod, the Vision:M boasts a sturdy, comfortable feel, a rainbow of color choices, and glossy good looks."</i><br /><br /><img src="http://www.digitalmediathoughts.com/images/vision_CES.jpg" /><br /><br />Way to go, Creative! The Vision:M looks like a true winner. :rock on dude!:

While I like this offering consumers will ultimately decide if it's a "true winner"

I've been a Creative customer for years with the first Jukebox through the Zen Micro for my kids. While they certainly do "work" they are flaky enough to be frustrating.

Creative needs to focus on the software and then make incremental changes to give customers what they want. Now it seems like every other hardware generation results in brand spanking new software with all the inherent problems that come with it.

Apple has shown that hardware specs don't sell the unit, it's the entire package. Until Creative gets the software locked, I don't expect much.
