View Full Version : Frame capture from Non-PC based device? Archos??? Other???

Here's the problem. We have a basic RS-170 video stream from a camera. We need to be able to grab a frame, and move it to a printer. We are in a vehicle, and no, we cannot bring a PC. The best way we can think of is that there are some Sony camcorders that can take in (and record) video from an external source and (allegedly) capture direct to the memory stick. Then, we could move that memory stick to a mobile printer and print.

We're willing to buy a $1k camcorder, but there's GOT to be an easier way. For instance, does anyone know if the Archos DVRs can capture a still image from a video to the memory card? That would be a better solution. Or is there ANY basic frame grabber device that can grab an RS-170 video stream to a memory card that we can then move to a printer? I've been googling for hours and come up with squat.

Thanks!
