Am I the only one that noticed that that is a Gen4 iPod in the picture above, not the new Gen5 iPod video?

I've had some difficulty getting movies for my new video iPod. A great site that I have started using is called EZTakes Movie Downloads (http://www.eztakes.com). They provide movies that you can burn to DVD and a person on the support email wrote me that they are going to start selling Podcasts soon. All of their trailers, however, are available as movie podcasts (http://artio.eztakes.com/store/hiw/movie-podcasts.jsp) now.

Yeah, I used a photo of the prototype Gen4 playing back a Star Wars DVD. I'll try to find a Gen5 photo to use instead.

I use PQDVD. Not free but fast and easy to use. I don't have the time to mess around with the free stuff like I used to.

hi,

I went to the itunes web the other day and was watching movie trailers.. I really like the looks of FIRST DESCENT. Anyway, I wanted to DL that onto my ipod Video and I was surprised to see it was only in .MOV format. I got errors when I tried to copy it to my ipod.

I ended up opening up a copy of QuickTime 7.0.3 and using EXPORT to Ipod to get the file in the correct format. It took some time. Maybe about 15mins for a 30sec 12meg file. hmm.. not too pleased.. how long would a real film take to convert?

I think converting to Ipod video is only good for small clips or if you have a lot of time!

Hmmm I converted the King Kong trailer (large-2:30-32mb) in 12 minutes on my G4 iMac using QT7 Pro. Still not real quick. At that rate it would take around an hour and a half to convert a 30 minute TV show or a little over 5 hours for an average length movie. I really don't do video conversions so I have nothing to compare. Anyone?
