I'm curious if anyone else has had any issues dealing with Iriver support?
A short while back i purchased a 512MB player for my wife and not one month later the battery door fell off and was lost.
I believe it was designed to do this as it often fell off and did not have a secure fit.
The reason i believe it was designed to do this is because iRiver will only ship to Canada using a trackable form of postage and wants to charge $25 for shipping. FOR A $2 ITEM that can be thrown into a small bubble envelope and dropped into a mailbox!
we begged and pleaded with them but they would not do it.
No one that we could locate recieves parts for these and as such you are forced to deal with iRiver directly.
What do you think about this?
Now we had to resort to using the cheap plastic case they ship with the unit as a battery door. the problem with that case (i'm on a roll here!) is it often interferes with the buttons, pressing them because of the fit of the case.
Sigh...I love the product, bt these design flaws are really geting to me.
