In addition, LCD panel manufacturers are able to turn out more screens per day. David Naranjo, vice president at research firm DisplaySearch, says that new factories can output glass sheets large enough to make eight 32-inch panels, compared with the three-panel sheets previous-generation facilities produced. Good news for me. Of course, I have been greedily thinking of an even larger LCD TV than 32" (around 42") but it would be cool to have a relatively inexpensive second TV. Anyways, I totally believe this report because after Black Friday (last week) I have heard so many people say that they picked up big-screen HDTVs -- LCD and DLP -- in the $1000 range.
