Really, it’s that good."</i><br /><br /><img src="http://www.digitalmediathoughts.com/images/N7UE_163px.jpg" /><br /><br />Nero 7 is out, and it looks like a substantial release - there are a <a href="http://ww2.nero.com/nero7/enu/Nero_7_Premium_New_Features.html">lot of new features</a>, many of them around HD video capture and editing, which isn't something you'd expect from a CD/DVD burning package. I have to wonder if Nero's "everything and the kitchen sink" approach is helping or hindering them, because the bundle has so many applications and features it's hard to discover them all. Their backup program alone offers some impressive new features: backup as a service (it will run without you being logged in), backup over FTP, 128-bit encryption, bootable restore disc creation, among others.<br /><br />Nero 7 will be available for download/purchase on October 26th for $99 (retail box) or $79 (digital download).
