Projector recommendations

Looking to get into the projector market as opposed to buying a large screen TV. I'm looking for HD (obvisouly) and something that I can ceiling mount. A friend has a panasonic (several years old) and said this was the brightest at the time.

Can anyone make any recommendations here? What should I be looking for?
