Color management helps graphic designers better match screen colors to print and gives a better overall graphic appearance to the operating system. "Devices such as digital cameras, color printers, high-definition displays and cell phones all have made the use of color pervasive across many walks of life," said Will Poole, senior vice president of Windows Client Business at Microsoft."</i><br /><br />So I have seen several color callibration tools, hardware and software, over the last few years that will work with Windows. I wonder whether this partnership will put those companies at a severe disadvantage. Also, I wonder how well Windows will work with these other tools. I mean, will Microsoft make it extra hard to use other tools for color callibration? I really hope not. Either way, I am looking forward to seeing what Canon comes up with.
