The unit’s compact size and its light weight make it a great portable upgrade from conventional laptop speakers. The TravelSound 500 also gives users the option to receive power from your laptop’s USB port without additional power adapters, making it a great portable audio solution to complement your notebook."</i><br /><br /><img src="http://www.digitalmediathoughts.com/images/creative.jpg" /><br /><br />Looks like a really well though out design but seems limited in applications. I don't think they would have enough power for doing a presentation and if it is just for one person, a nice set of headphones seem like a better option.

I would love to get a pair of these.

We recently took a trip and were going to use the laptop as a dvd player. But that usually means lugging around a set of pc speakers to hook up to it since the onboard speakers are so low.

This could be a very nice solution, if they do in fact sound good.

Creative also just announced a portable speaker for the popular Zen Micro. There are similar products for the iPod and I have been looking for something like this for my Micro. Unfortunately, Creative is currently selling this product- TravelDock Zen Micro- in the UK and recently announced it would be available this month is Asia. Come on Creative, some of us here in the US might be interested too.
