iTunes over Samba?

I just moved my Mp3 collection to a Network driver which I believe is using Samba.

Has anyone had any experience with using iTunes (WinXP) in this type of environmnet. I know a guy who had his who library corrupted though his set up was hacked together. He was storing his library on a linux box.

I'm using an iPod by the way.

Let me try another angle.
Is anyone keeping their music on a networked drive? And using iTunes?
