One of the things that was preventing me from completely switching over to using an MCE was the fact that previously, TV tuner cards utilized hardware encoding and this was an expensive process because they were reliant on the chipset manufacturers for the drivers. It looks like CyberLink has developed an alternative and cost-effective solution for hardware manufacturers by creating this MPEG-2 video and audio software encoder plug-in for MCE. I would like to see the results.
