Anyone know of a good freeware program that will allow me to edit out the commercials in my TV recordings? All I need it to do is allow me to select the 4 minutes of commercials and hit <DELETE> and it will remove that segment of video from the file...

What video format are your TV recordings in?

I record them in DVD MPEG format. I then transcode them into XVID AVIs to save disk space. So I could use anything that can edit AVIs or MPEGs...
