The Mac maker said it earned $320 million, or 37 cents per share, on revenue of $3.52 billion for the three months ended June 30. In the same quarter a year ago, Apple earned $61 million, or 8 cents per share, on revenue of $2.08 billion. Analysts had been expecting the company to report earnings of 31 cents per share, with revenue of $3.34 billion according to First Call."</i><br /><br /><img src="http://www.digitalmediathoughts.com/images/applelogo.jpg" /><br /><br />No surprises here, except that Mac mini hasn't been a big hit. iPod sales keep on fueling Apple's profits. Macs are doing fairly well, but not setting the market on fire. For every Mac, six iPods are sold.

Mac sales growth is still outpacing any other PC maker out there. Aales of Macs where up 35% since same quarter last year, and while no it's not the 616% growth the iPod saw over the same period we are talking a $300 device compared to a $1000+ device. 35% is very impressive for a platform that is supposedly "dying". Once Intel chips are in Powerbooks watch the numbers to soar, I know that's what i am waiting for.
