The objective of this review is to highlight the new and changed features compared to Photoshop CS. As usual, we will focus on those features which are useful to digital photographers. Following the Adobe Photoshop tradition, each new version is a smooth evolution from earlier versions which makes it easy to switch versions and allows you to benefit from your earlier learning curve. Apart from a few exceptions, most of the commands and shortcuts are identical to earlier versions. "

This is a fantastic and detailed review of CS2 by dpreview.com. I have still been using Photoshop 7.0 for some time and I keep wondering if it is time to uprade. Photoshop CS2 offers again a range of very impressive features, with HDR, Warp, and Smart Sharpening being the key ones. However, many of the new features are only applicable to a narrow range of images. At US$149 or 25% of the US$599 price of the stand-alone full version, this upgrade comes at a fairly hefty price tag, IMHO. Anyways, this article is a must-read for anyone interested. It not only describes all the new features but also points out the areas for improvement.
