The digital photo receiver does not require a computer, expensive memory cards and cables, or complicated technology to operate. Just connect the phone cord, plug in the power cord, push a button, and you're ready to receive photos."</i><br /><br /><img src="http://www.digitalmediathoughts.com/images/B0002ZQB7O.01._SCMZZZZZZZ_.jpg" /><br /><br />I've always been interested in this picture frames, but the cost always turned me off - at only $89.99 after rebate, that's not much of an issue any more. Too bad Amazon doesn't ship to Canada. ;-) [Affiliate]

$100 would be a good price to pay for the VGA LCD that's inside! Anyone knows how to hack it? :)

Your reading my mind. I would go for it except a subscription is required to use it. 10 bucks a month is a bit steep.

Just buy a Juicebox...Check your local Target or Walmart. Many of these stores have clearanced Mattel's Juicebox. I know it's a kids video player but it has MP3 and JPEG viewer add-on pack and I bought both for less than $25 (bought in KY).
Pictures are loaded onto an SD or MMC card (32MB SD card included)through Mattel's software and played back slideshow style (yes the timing can be adjusted). The LCD has adjustments for brightness and contrast that do help somewhat.
The LCD is no where near 5x7 (more like 2.5 x 2.5) and it's a little washed out but for <$25 it can't be beat.
