The Canon IXUS lookalikes are smaller than a deck of cards, boast five megapixels and despite only having a 3x optical zoom, incorporate image stabilization. Aside from small cosmetic differences and the size of the LCD, technically they are pretty similar. The V550 has a 2.5-inch screen and is available in black and silver, while the V530 has a 2-inch screen and comes in Absolute Pink, Red Shimmer, Midnight Black and Silver Essence colors. The V550 will be available in June priced US$399, and for US$50 less you can get the V530, which will be available in July. Both cameras come with the new EasyShare Photo Frame Dock 2, which provides one-touch picture transfer."</i><br /><br /><img src="http://www.digitalmediathoughts.com/images/new_kodak_cameras.jpg" /><br /><br />Kodak seems to be on fire with their cameras as of late. They really have taken it to Canon on the low end. My Canon Powershot S50 is starting to get long in the tooth and to be honest I might start looking at Kodak to replace it, something I wouldn't have said even 3 months ago. Also take a good look at <a href="http://www.dpreview.com/news/0505/kodak_v530redindock.jpg">those docks</a>. Impressive! 8)

SAWEET. Now if the performance and picture quality matches the cool looking exterior . . . I may have found my next digicam. With my Sony I've gotten use to fast startup and shot-shot times.

Oh no, the V530 has the dpad on the left side. Bad bad bad mistake. Like the Sony T7, it's going to be a major pain to use. -_-

I'm not a fan of Kodak cameras, but these look hot. I hope they'll look just as good in person! I'm a lefty, but I'm right dominant (figure that out), so I too would prefer to have the d-pad on the right side, but I've learned I can adapt to just about anything. ;-)
