Memory Card Lifespan

Hey folks,

I have a question for ya.... Do memory cards wear out? I am using a Sony Cybershot and the shutter lag seems to be getting longer and longer. It is getting so bad that is making me miss shots. Could this be because the memory stick is wearing out, or is the camera wearing out?

I appreciate any suggestions.

Yes they do, but I generally the cycles are long enough that they shouldn't matter. I think your camera is starting to give out, but just to be sure you can try using the camera with the original skimpy memory card and see if there's any difference.
