I was not aware of that either - a better question is what's up with the screen shot? Spice channel special?!

Whaaaaaaa? Never heard of it either. You'd think that'd be something that AVSForum.com people would use as one of those arguments FOR DLP rear-projection or something.

I've got the NEC PX-42XM3A which is a 'commercial' model, and probably used for multi-panel displays. I've never had a problem from 10+ feet away with any of my remotes.

Maybe when you throw a 3x3 array of these things together, there's problems with controlling them? Although, in that case, I don't know why you'd use a remote, since you're supposed to control them all via serial cable, and one remote would control them all in the same way.

Interesting. Maybe that explains the wire that came with the remote on my NEC 42" plasma. You can plug a cable into the top of the infra-red remote and the other end into the plasma.

Guess it could also be for when you want to sit behind it and change channels though :lol:
