(site) sent us their new Mvisto Pocket DivX and ISO Player for review. The small Linux powered player supports HDTV quality Video and Dolby Digital or DTS quality Audio. When those media players without displays first appeared on the market last year, I was not sure why I would need one. Comparing them in my mind to PVPs with display. Now that I tried to find a robust solution to play high resolution DivX videos on my TV in the living room, I learned to love those players."</i><br /><br /><img src="http://www.digitalmediathoughts.com/images/mvisto_dvix_pocket_player_1.jpg" /> <br /><br />Looks like a pretty cool product.

The device can output up to 1080i, but it doesn't say what kind of video it can decode. I.E. max frame rate, resolution, data rate, etc. What use is HD output if I can only play 320x240 15 fps video??
Can anyone find this data? It's not on the product page.

well apparently it had no trouble decoding his 512x384 and 30fps movie. But yea, the article really make no attempt to push the limits. Originaly I would have loved one of these, I built a computer into a microata case with an nforce 1 board to do just this, play divx movies in the living room, but now I dont think I could live without the features ffdshow affords me like deblocking and sharpening, something I would lose with a non-pc solution like this one. ;)
