By including professional capabilities such as time code, true 24p HD, and dual media direct recording to hard disk, ProHD becomes a tool that can be easily used to produce film-like quality HD programming in a variety of applications."</i><br /><br /><img src="http://www.digitalmediathoughts.com/images/GY_HD100-small.jpg" /> <br /><br />Very nice. For only £4,200, you to can pick up your own professional HD rig.

JVC is really leaving Canon and Sony in the dust - Canon especially has no answer to a camera like this yet... :?

This is a great camera and the GY-HD7000 coming out in the fall is going to be higher end still with full 1920x1080i chips. With the HD it will likely be switchable from HDV to higher bandwidth ProHD formats.

Welcome to Digital Media Thoughts!

ProHD? Wow - I can't seem to find enough regular HD content as it is, and now there's a new standard? ;-)

According to JVC, ProHD is an extension to HDV. I assume that JVC products will work in HDV mode or ProHD mode if your NLE can handle more bandwidth than HDV.
We should hear more after NAB which is taking place now.
