The shape of the new 17- (£399 ex. VAT) and 19in. (£499 ex. VAT) screens is striking, thanks to a 'Rising Design' that gives the units a sculpted look and the appearance of standing without the support of a conventional base. The design also provides a space-saving footprint and the facility for easy wall-mounting, if required. Designed for the home, living room, bedroom or even home office, the screens can be hooked up to a computer, used for viewing TV, or for playing back DVDs and videogames."</i><br /><br /><img src="http://www.digitalmediathoughts.com/images/SonyMultiTV.jpg" /><br /><br />While the new TVs sound sweet, I'm just waiting to hear which kind of restrictions and limitations Sony put on this LCD TV combo.

I've seen these in person, and the picture is incomparable, particularly on the 19" display. It will display up to 720p (native resolution), and the blacks are as dark as I've ever seen on an LCD display. They truely look black, rather than a dark shade of charcoal. On the flip side, whites are bright and a true white, not slightly off-color.

You really have to see it to believe it. The wife-to-be would kill me if I spent $800 on an LCD tv, otherwise I'd buy one today!
