The guess is that it will be positioned below the D70, but with very similar specs. One very interesting note is that it stores photos on SD Cards rather than CF which is much more popular on these DSLRs. SD isn't too much more expensive than CF these days up to 1 GB. I wonder if SD is fast enough to keep up with 6 megepixel RAW images.

I wonder about the same. You can get high-speed CF cards but I have never heard about high-speed SD cards.

Nope, the F55 is only available in that awful "champagne gold".

Fast SD cards are available; look for the high speed Panasonics and the Sandisk Ultra II series.

Hmm, judging from the rumours that have been flying about, as well as the attempted squashing of said rumours, it looks like there'll be a rehash of the D70 in the D70s.
