Ltd. unveiled the world's first mobile phone with a powerful 7-megapixel camera on Wednesday, providing a potential competitive threat to manufacturers of digital cameras."</i><br /><br /><img src="http://www.digitalmediathoughts.com/images/CAMPHONE.JPG" /> <br /><br />Well, they finally are making some true camera phones where the camera part comes first. Not that I don't enjoy the W?BIC part of this, but I agree with the article that it may be overkill for a phone. Are they really getting that level of quality, or is it just megapixels for the sake of megapixels?

I for one am not holding out hope. I've yet to see a quality mophone pic even from some of the higher megapixel cameras. I think this is just a rush to be "first"

Somebody finally realized the concept I was thinking a year ago:

If they're struggling to get even one megapixel camera to a phone, why wouldn't they take one of the four megapixel cameras with gourgeus displays and fast processors out there and try to add the phone to it, instead of the trying to add a camera to phone? Why wouldn't it work?

I for one think this is the right way to go if you have to have two devices for one use.
