I can't believe Sony just won't open up their players to MP3. The fact that you have to convert them is just plain stupid and continues to prove how Sony just doesn't get it.

this is odd...this is a new product? Many months ago sony DID break down and admit that they screwed up with their mini disc marketing, and that the refusal to support mp3 has HURT them. Logic says they would be supporting mp3 after a remark like that.
