We heard about the DSC-W5 a few weeks ago but has been confirmed in this announcement alongside the seven megapixel version of the camera. Both offer a standard 3x optical zoom (38 -114 mm), 6cm macro mode and are compatible with conversion lenses. Storage media is Memory Stick / Memory Stick PRO and both come with a 32 MB internal memory which will allow you to store all of nine fine quality images on the W7. Looks like a nice general purpose camera for those who are not already wedded to a particular memory format.
