I am looking to purchase a 512 MB mp3 player. I have been looking at the ipod shuffle, Creative Muvo fm tx, and the Sandisk. Anyone have any suggestions? Anyone own any of these?

I do own a Creative Nomad Zen Xtra 30GB, but I want something small that I can use at a gym.

Thanks

There's the Creative Muvo V200, a rehash of the TX. Not sure about the price, but it's the same as the TX, but it's slightly smaller now.

Does it need to play WMA? If so, the Creative unit is a good choice

If it's just MP3, I think the iPOD Shuffle is probably a good choice for the gymn, as long as you don't really need to be able to find a certain song. ;-)

Hi,

I have a Creative Muvo Micro N200 with 512MB which I am very pleased with.
It comes with USB cable/Line-in cable/clip-case and (of course earbuds, that are quite good to be included ones)

The difference between this one and the V200/TX is that N200 connects via USB Cable and therefore is slightly smaller. It is really small!
It also has line-in recording to MP3 (haven't tested this though) and uses regular AAA batteries.

I have no complaints regarding audio quality. Transfer is quite fast (USB 2.0). Perhaps the bass could be a little heavier and the amp could use some more power. But for daily commuting use I think it is very good.

There are some ongoing discussions on Creative's website from people who are experiencing hiss/background noise etc, but mine has none of these.

At $130 I think it is a good choice.

Good luck with your choice!

Hi, I own an ipod shuffle 512MB, which was a gift for my bday. i have to say it is a pretty neat mp3 player, it is very light and it sounds pretty good, but i don't think i would buy it if i got to choose it :/ mainly coz it looks bland and like a toy and its a pretty boring player. I hardly listen to the shuffle because i like my ipod mini better, but i don't mind using it as a usb drive though!

I second Timmy's suggestion.
He forgot to mention it has an FM radio as well.
For the gym it is great. It has an elastic arm band that I use in the gym and for running.
No hiss problems here either - first I heard of it.
Solid software and support from Creative is a bonus as well.
