It's easy to use, works reliably every time, is the right price and just works. If you're using a Mac then this software is pretty much a "must have"."</i><br /><br /><img src="http://www.digitalmediathoughts.com/images/handbrake4.jpg" /><br /><br />The PDA Guy really likes HandBrake, but who wouldn't as it is free (almost as in beer). ;) <a href="http://handbrake.m0k.org/index.php">HandBrake</a> seems to be a really nicely designed DVD ripper and re-encoder with less of the techno-speak options found in some Windows equivalents. HandBrake is available for BeOS, Mac OS X, and GNU/*nix for the current time being.

I've been using Handbrake for a while now, and it's a great application. It really makes DVD Ripping easy, and when combined with Roxio Popcorn, it is the best DVD backup option available imo.

Yeah, hehe, that's pretty funny - ripping a DVD of a movie that's not yet out on DVD.

Handbrake is ok, but for ripping DVD's the best thing out there is MactheRipper. It's free and updated frequently!
