Well, not quite. Engadget reports this model will likely be exclusive to the Korean market. Bummer. :( Still, it's good for a look. According to the article this model will come in three memory configurations; 256MB, 512MB, and 1GB respectively. It also supports Ogg, MP3, WMA, WAV, and ASF audio formats. <br /><br /><img src="http://www.digitalmediathoughts.com/images/5944164528551586.jpg" />

Correction: I got a tip from a friend, which I have 99% confidence in his word, that the product till be available at Best Buy nationally in Feb.

It's even on their SamsungUSA.com site, which only show product that will be coming to the us.

It's supposed to support alum art too from the download sites. This flies right in the face of apple's assumption that consumers don't care about ID3 tags or any other album info. I think it would be cool to see a pic of Britanny on her new cover art. ;)

Nice link.
You can d/l the manuals (in english so its definitely headed for NorthAM) to do.
Looks interesting.
Too bad it doesn't have an SD card slot to go along with the other features; its certainly large enough...

Looks quite nice actually - that screen looks awesome (and perhaps OLED?) but 256 MB? Seems too small to start - it would be nice to see it start at 512MB and move up to 2 GB. :-)

It would be sweet if it had 256/512/1GB built-in, but then also have an SD slot to add additional memory.

Memory card slots take up a fair bit of space - you don't see much of that anymore on the smaller players, and the bigger players use hard drives. ;-)

Actually, the two models coming to the US will only be 512MB and 1GB.

Horray!

The screen is CSTN according to Samsung's website. I agree, they might want to consider a 2GB version as well, but hey, what they offer now sounds great as is. 8)

Looks really nice, though. FM tuner and voice recorder, too!

Does anyone know prices yet?

Here's the 1GB version: YP-T7Z (http://product.samsung.com/cgi-bin/nabc/product/b2c_product_detail.jsp?prod_id=YP-T7Z%252fXAA)

I like the blue color for the casing better, myself. Too bad they don't offer blue on the 1GB model. But then again, the Shuffle only comes in white.

The 512MB model's casing is magnesium and aluminum, and the 1GB model's casing is apparently all aluminum. Either way, that's better than cheap plastic.
