Within about 15 seconds from when we first connected the Klipsch ProMedia Ultra 2.0 Powered Speakers, we knew we were going to have trouble sounding neutral. These things, for lack of a better word, rock. In fact, they sound so good we can’t refer to them as PC Speakers, because it would almost be insulting. Rich, full sound - the only reason I stopped using them was that Logitech sent me a set of 5.1 Z680's. :D I dig Logitech speakers - they're quite good - but I have to admit to missing those old Klipsch speakers...if you're looking for some inexpensive speakers, check out the LIVEdigitally review.

Just a correction, these are 2.0 speakers. No subwoofer. Good price, and might be worth checking out if they ever go international.

Oh yeah. Wait a second...no subwoofer? You CAN'T have good sounding music without a sub. :?

Oh yes you can. Last I checked the set of Missions I wanted to buy (still want to) don't come with a sub. Of course them costing US$3000 have nothing to do with it.. =P

But surely those speakers would have both woofer and tweaters in them? Small computer speakers tend to only have tweaters, meaning they only reproduce high and mid-range sound.

They're bookshelf types, so they don't really have a true woofer. I'll admit they won't be good enough for those who insist on blowing the room away upon the first bass note.
