Vlog It! is the first PC software designed specifically to help you create the most powerful kind of blog – a video blog. Even if you have no video experience or technical skills, Vlog It! makes it easy. And the impact is not only memorable, it's inspirational. Just place a webcam or camcorder on top of your monitor and connect it to your PC. Vlog It! gives you an on-screen teleprompter just like the newscasters use so you can vlog quickly and confidently. Just type in your notes, hit record and read. It'll look like you're staring into the camera as you read your notes. You can even pause the teleprompter for the ultimate form of self-expression—the tangent."

Serious Magic makes the very cool Visual Communicator software, and it looks like they've released a "lite" version aimed at the blogging market. I'm not sure if video blogging is quite ready to take off though - bandwidth still isn't all that cheap when it comes to video, and I don't know if the average Web publisher (myself included) has the self-confidence to get in front of the camera every day.

There is quite an interesting article on the BBC News (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/4173787.stm) web site about how the tsunami disaster led to video blogs, and some of the technical and legal issues that had to be, and still have to be, dealt with.

Kinda one-ups podcasting, I guess... :)

Two things I don't like about it:

1) The $99 price tag.
2) The fact that you can't even get it yet.
