Blockbuster Video, whom has struggled immensely to gain a toehold, is cutting prices aggressively to steal customers away from rival Netflix. In response Netflix says it will NOT cut costs, and expressed its lack of concern for Blockbuster's move. Which is probably true given Blockbuster's small chunk of the market. It's Wal-mart that keeps Netflix executives sleeping with one eye open at night. Always low prices...always Wal-mart.

as a netflix user, I agree. Netflix's selection just owns that of any block buster local store. And even if blockbuster could ship it from another store, I bet netflix is faster and has more of the titles that blockbuster does not stock up on. Also %50 of the time, netflix is next day shipping for me.

Another Netflix user here. I agree. Also, I don't plan on switching to save $2 a month or something. I've been happy with Netflix with almost 5 years now so I'll just stick with them. Besides, like jeffd says, I get my movies next day every time.
