Sony MVC-CD500

I've been looking at some Sony MVC-CD500s. It seems that they can be had for a reasonable price, but there also seems to be a wide range of opinion about them.
Does anyone have any hands on experience with this camera? Are they worth the price? How delicate is the CD drive?
Any advice or opinions would be appreciated. :?
