The 720x480 screen can actually play a DVD movie with no reduction of native resolution. It is a shame that this large screen largely goes to waste, however, because most videos from the Internet simply won't play back on the unit. Audio and video recording work well, and the picture viewer functions as advertised. With just the DVX-POD and composite cable, you have an extremely portable recording device. 20 GB is a bit small when you compare the DVX-POD to other comparable media players, but this can be easily fixed in the future."</i><br /><br /><img src="http://www.digitalmediathoughts.com/images/dvxpod_frontangle.jpg" /><br /><br />Probably the most interesting thing about the DVX-XPOD is that the screen is so large that it is just right to give the illusion that it is filling your field of view. So even though it is a small device, it gives the effect of immersion. 8)

Damn, I knew I should have finished typing up my review yesterday when I started it. Stay tuned for a full review right here on Digital Media Thoughts soon - I'm going to resist the urge to read the Tom's review just in case it influences me...

OT comment here, but that has to be the queerest of all names. It reminds me of a DVD, an X-Box, and an iPod. Hmm... Originality at its best. ;)

That's what I was thinking.

OQO posts split since it has nothing at all to do with the DVX-POD.
