Do any of own the mini-sized camcorders? What kind of specs do you look for when buying (or looking to buy) a camcorder?

I have the grandfather of flash-based camcorders, last year's Panasonic AV100 which captures full DVD-spec MPEG2 clips on SD cards that are directly burnable to DVD without any re-encoding. The 704x480 30fps MPEG2's with stereo PCM audio can be VERY good, especially in good lighting. A 1GB card captures 22 minutes at best quality setting.

The AV100 is still the smallest-size champ, really tiny, but still full-featured with 10X optical zoom, 2.5" LCD and optical stabilization.

Best of all it can be found heavily-discounted from original retail $1,000.00. I found mine new for $465.00 this summer, a real bargain. There's a user group forum here:
