Some of the features include ultra-high quality DACs and an External I/O Hub which provides 6 Stereo Inputs/6 Stereo Outputs, amazingly clean recording of six channels at 24-bit/96kHz with low latency ASIO 2.0 support There isn't much more detail but this is awesome news. I wonder why they jump-skipped over Audigy 3. Maybe they going with the 2^n naming scheme. ;-)
