Thanks for all the great comments in the thread too - it's nice to see that we have a real community out there, now I just need to figure out how to get all of you to post more comments and talk to each other. ;-)

dgage is the winner of Adobe Premiere Pro! I picked randomly from <A HREF=http://www.digitalmediathoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=6732">the giveaway thread</A>, and he was the lucky one. Congrats dgage.

SmartphoneThoughts and PocketPCThoughts are geared toward very specific devices. I think most who visit those site are either knowledgable about those specific devices, obcessed about them, or curious about them.

DigitalMediaThoughts is more diverse. And in turn, the member base is more diverse in their interests. But unlike the other sites, I cant imagine many being knowledgable or interested in everything here, except for the curiosity of visiting the main page for the gadget-fiends.

I personally will read thru the forums on SPT and PPCT because I am interested past the front page news.

But I must admit, I only view the forums here once in awhile, and most times it's with specific goals &amp; searches in mind.

Just observations and assumptions.

personally it has gotten to the point the thoughts media is so sprawling I can only be a passive observer in all the different sites any more if I want to remain productive with my work - that said I adore the information that TM provides, and I repeatedly scan the various RSS feeds multiple times a day. I am such a neophyte when it comes to the gadgets here though that there really is so little I can contribute. Hopefully when it's time to start building a digital house I can turn to the lurkers here to help me with the setup.
